I just got off a live chat with Linksys who told me that
my problem is with the operating system (Win2k) and not
with my WPC11 wireless network card. Here is my problem.
I cannot access my config utility. The card works fine
but I cannot make any changes to it. I also get an error
message that tells me I'm missing some files when I start
up my laptop as a general user. When I start up as an
administrator I don't see the error window. Anyone have
these problems before?

I have the same problem. I went through 2 round trips with linksys
support and they keep recommending setting up a scheduled task to
start the config util as administrator. I tried that and it doesn't
work. I think that the config util wpc11cfg.exe links to some DLLs
that require certain rights which non-administrators do not have. It
would be easy to add these rights to these user accounts if we knew
what they were but so far linksys hasn't given a good explanation.
Other posts suggest running the config util as a service using
srvany.exe which would allow the app to run as the "local system
account" with all the admin privileges. I'm going to try this.
Hopefully you've used it before so you won't have too much trouble.

Good luck and please post if you find another solution.
