I have a problem with sites telling me I do not have Javascript enabled when
I know that I do. When I disable Norton's Internet Security, the problem goes
away. I have tried many solutions already suggested on other threads such as
updating the Scripting with 5.2 but I still have the problem. Any ideas?

It's the Norton Internet Security that's blocking it.

I have NIS 2005. When my javascript first started having problems I got
phone support from NIS (quick test is to open NIS program to see if all
features load. If a message on top of the program says it's refreshing and
nothing happens, there's a problem with java.) Symantec tech support had me
run two things after closing the program:

Start>Run>regsvr32 jscript.dll click OK on screen that shows
Start>Run>regsvr32 vbscript.dll click OK on screen that shows

That got me going again. It was not a permanent fix though. Every so often
I had to run those 2 DLLs to get java back. I just updated SunJava this
morning, and I have other problems to fix. I don't yet know what causing all
my problems. But at least Symantec has very good tech support by either
email or free phone support, and they have very good instructions that
involve maintaining Windows.
