Windows XP problem with internet sharing

hi. my brother recently was bought a laptp for his birthday. this laptop can connect to the internet. this is the 4th pc in the house. my laptop, my dads, the home pc and now his. the problem is we cant all connect at once. i have to restart the router and manually reconnect on each laptop. is there a way to resolve problem. one laptop is used as a bridge for an xbox however. does this affect it. please help.

So you can get any 3 out of the 4 computers to connect, or is it just this one laptop that has the problem?

no, only one of the 3 laptops and the pc at a time

Do they all connect wirelessly? Also, what is the make of the router and I'll take the look at the specs. Most can handle 255 connections at once.
