Ok this is how the whole problem started: A week ago I tried using my webcam
on MSN and it didnt work so I uninstalled MSN Messenger 7 I think and then
went on the messenger site and downloaded the setup file. It loads and then
comes up with this error:

"ERROR CREATING PROCESS <C:\Documents and Settings\#1\Local
Settings\Temp\IXP000.TMP\bootstrap.exe>. Reason: The system cannot find the
path specified"

I then looked through Google and found people with similar errors but most
of their problem with this has been ignored, some say that installing MSN 6.2
would fix it so I downloaded MSN 6.2 from Microsoft and yet it still didnt
work.

Im sorry if this is a re-post but I couldnt find a search button in these
forums. Please can someone help me, I would be very very grateful because
then I wouldnt have to Reboot my whole system just for this :(

Thank You very much!!

Hello david, i believe with your problem its fixed easily, when you download
MSN messenger it comes inside and executable setup, which can be extracted,
inside are two files the msnmsgr.msi file and bootstrap.exe, you can install
msn messenger without the exe, just extract the downloaded archive, using
something like winrar and double click on the msi file and you should be
able to install it...hope it helps :)
