Will we soon have a group for ie7 OE?

Oh, well- I'll ask here then- ie7 has a huge conflict with HP's Director
software used for some of their scanners and all in one machines from the
early '90s- such as my scanjet 4570c. When I foolishly downloaded ie7 to my
XP box, the conflict crashed the machine so bad I had to reformat and
reinstall everything.

Someone in a newsgroup refered me to a page on HP's web site which says that
HP will not be producing a Vista driver but they have released a stripped
down driver which will work with Vista. Dam HP!

I'm wondering what would happen if I attempted to install that scanjet on my
new Dell Vista box? When I plugged in my HP LaserJet 1320 printer, Vista was
smart enough to almost instantly install a driver- I wonder what it would do
if it sees my scanjet?

I was using an HP Scanjet 2400 and had a similar issue. There is a driver
for Vista which enables basic scanning, but HP hasn't released an updated
application package. It sounds like you're in the same situation. Why not
get it going and see if the basic functionality is enough? I wound up
buying a very affordable new Canon Multifunction printer/scanner/fax unit
because it came with Vista compatible applications.

Thee are separate newsgroups for Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, that
are OS independent. Also there is no Outlook Express in Vista. It's
Windows Mail in Vista and there is a newsgroup for it.

microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
