Problem with IE

I am web designer and my problem is that when i write html code in notepad
and after when i want to see a code of that website in IE i can not see one.
I could see that by View > source. But something happened and now its
immpossible. Can someone give me the answer what happened and what should i
do?

First check to see if you have a shortcut to notepad on the desktop? I think
that was an Alan discovery...

But...

Open IE > Tools > Options > Programs > what's listed?
