Problem with IE

I am having the same problem as splinter. Every time I
launch IE I get an error message stating that the browser
has encountered a problem and needs to quit. It gives me
the option of sending the report to Microsoft or not. It
also has a checkbox to restart IE. Regardless of whether I
select the checkbox or not, and whether or not I choose to
send the report or not IE will not start. The only thing
that seems to work is to launch IE again before closing the
error message dialog box. Sometimes this works. Sometimes
it doesn't. I have tried to do disc cleanup and defrag but
still no luck. Any suggestions? anyone?
 
Try going to the Control Panel, Add/Remove Software and try to REMOVE IE -
it will not let you but it will provide a REPAIR option. If that does not
work, try downloading and installing over the old copy.
