For some odd reason I have two icons that are doing nothing. This just
started. The "Add Existing Fields" and the "Property Sheet" icons are dead.
There not grayed out and they click like there working but no.

I've uninstalled, re-installed, with the same problem.

Has anyone got a fix for this problem?

Thanks
Don

Do the buttons change their appearance, when you click them, as they
normally do when the field list or property sheet is opened? I haven't
experienced this with Access 2007, but with earlier versions of Access, it
sometimes happened that these two windows would be positioned off the
screen. One way to get them back is to temporarily change your monitor to a
higher resolution (if it supports one), to see if that brings them into
view. Another way is to click the button to activate the dialog, then press
Alt+{Space bar}, M to activate the dialog's Window Move function, and then
use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the dialog around until it comes
into view. I don't know about your system, but on my system I only need to
press an arrow key once and the dialog window becomes slaved to my mouse,
and I can just move my mouse around without pressing any buttons, and the
window moves with it.

If the above fails, you might try deleting the registry key that stores the
window location -- after backing up the registry, of course, when Access is
closed. The article below is for Access 97, but it wouldn't surprise me to
find that it could be adapted for Access 2007:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/200412\
ACC97: Can't See Dialog Box on System That Had Dual Monitors

For Access 2007, I believe the registry section would be:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access\Settings

The specific key(s) to delete depend on which dialogs are offscreen. The
KnowledgeBase article explains that.

As an alternative to deleting the key(s), you could try changing their
values. Each value is a semicolon-delimited string containing the numeric
values for the dialog window as follows "Open;Left;Top;Width;Height;"

That did it! I just went through and deleted all the settings for Access
"settings" and it brought it all back.

Thank you

Yikes! I didn't recommend that you delete *all* the settings! That was
rather drastic. I hope the result of that was that all settings went back
to their default values, and that you won't have any further problems from
having done so. Good luck!
