i have just installed the HP/sonic DLA 4.60 (drive letter access) on my
computer with MCE 2005 with sp2 and everytime I access the control panel it
hangs and crashes this happen everytime i access control panel. Anyone had
this problem? I've contacted hp about my issue and the reply i got wasn't
very helpful at all, so im hoping someone around here know how to fix this
problem?

reply from hp support: The issue may be due to the conflicts between the
software and the hardware installed in the system and the DLA software.

Thanks brian you've been really helpful, now its working fine. but i got one
more question on my DVD+rw/CD-rw drive properties, on the recording tab,
inside Desktop CD recording theres an option box to uncheck or check Enable
CD recording on this drive what should be the setting when DLA is enable on
my drives, should it be uncheck when DLA is enable or it doesn't matter if
Enable CD recording on this drive check or uncheck.

right now my setting is DLA is enable and enable CD recording on this drive
is check.

what's your setting?

thanks again.

Glad it worked.

The "Enable CD recording on this drive" should be unticked for those who
don't want to use the inbuilt WinXP burning software. ie if you use Nero,
Sonic etc, untick this box. Only enable DLA on one CD burner (if you have
two CD drives).

Brian

I don't use DLA anymore but I did use 4.95 with Intel. It should work with
either processor.
