Problem with flash drive

Hi,

I have an issue with USB flash/pen drive. My XPE is able to detect the flash
drive as removable drive, but fails to show its contetnts. On double
clicking/exploring the drive XPE displays a message stating that the drive
is unformatted and prompt to format the same.

Do I need to include some components? Help please.

USB Mass Storage Device
USB Storage Device
FAT
