I have a fileserver running W2K server SP4.
Often when users access files on the server the following situation occurs:
The user opens a Word document, reads it and closes it. The user the decides
to delete it. But receives an error saying the file is in use by another
program or process.
When I the log on directly to the server and accesses "Computer
Management"-"Shared Folders"-"Open Files" I can see that the user in
question has the file open, even thought I have seen that the file was
closed. If I then terminate the connection from "Computer Management" and
the user now tires to delete the file, it works perfectly.
Does anyone know why this happens?
