L
leslie.
I am have a huge problem with error bars on my graphs
acting up. This is mainly because of a trick I am doing
in the data set; though it shouldn't really be an issue.
It is also rather disconcerting that for some graphs the
error bars work fine (even after the
manipulation 'trick') but others they are either
invisible or take up the entire height.
Here is the dilemma:
I have numbers in my data set and the cells are formatted
as percentage. The scale of my graph is also formatted as
percentage.
What I do is change the formatting to Number then
manually multiply each cell value by 100 (so I can have a
numerical percentage without the percentage sign). I
change the format on the graph to Number also. This is
usually where the Error Bars disappear.
My error bar value is Custom with the range consisting of
each cell that is used in my graph (no actual SEM values,
just the numerical values - not sure why, I didn't
initially set this up like this).
When I erase the Error Bar values then re-type them in
(just to clear out memory, etc.) the bars appear but now
take up the entire height of the graph; obviously
incorrect.
I have run out of ideas.
I just want the Error Bars to be correct; how they were
in the original graph before I removed the percentage
formatting.
