problem with e.mail attachments

I have the free BT Talk 21 e.mail - which I get on with OK - except that I can't always open attachments !! I have just been sent a JPG and a GIF and can't get into either. I've tried several ways but only keep getting the Windows Fax and Picture thingy and a black screen. I've pressed every knob and NOTHING !! I've just resorted to sending the info to a friend and she's opened it, no bother - she sent it back in word document and it STILL won't open. HELP!
 
That is a problem with free e-mail software. Not reliable and no service support. I recommend using Outlook Express or one of the internet based e-mail services such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Excite. As a last resort copy the file to your desktop,right click on it and choose open file with and choose the program you want it to open in. This should work for no
