I have had a problem loading the drivers from the ArcSoft CD provided
with my new camera.
I have Windows ME, have 384 MG of RAM, machine runs at 700 MHZ and
about 3 Gig of free space on the hard drive for storage.
I was able to load Photo Impression & Funhouse but I keep getting an
error when I try to load the driver. When I click on the driver set
up the installation wizzard starts and gets about 14% of the way
through the process and I then get the following error:
"The following error occurred on file, C:\WINDOWS\Inf\sq9162b3.rra
The directory or file cannot be created.
(0x52)"
I have been unable to get ArcSoft to give me any help at all and they
keep telling me to contact the camera manufacturer for the driver and
I have been unable to get any help from the camera manufacturer, it is
a generic credit card size camera manufactured in China, so I'm
stumped.
Help!

=================================
I don't know much about Win ME but I'm guessing
the camera has a USB cable? If you go to My Computer
while the camera is connected...is it listed as a removable
drive? If the camera is listed you should be able to left
click the camera's icon and see the contents the same
way you would with a floppy.

Then you would simply...drag all the files to a folder on
your hard drive. If this works...you don't need the software.
