My (Start) bar is hidden
When I go to Start to click on Search
1) The Menu bar stays open and freezes
2) The search window does NOT open
I can access the applications that were already running, but I lose part of
the display because of the start bar that is hiding that portion of the
window

Problem solved

I used the manual method and re-installed Srchasst.inf
Apparently the pointer to msgr3en.dll was broken

Thanks
