Computer is a Gateway which came with a free years aol.
Have since switched to another provider. Cannot save
password in dial-up window. If I enter my correct
password without checking the save password box, it
connects fine. If I check the box, windows puts in
another password and because it's hidden, I can't begin
to look for it to change it. Where is the darn thing
located and/or, is there a way to delete/change it?

Greetings Don

Can you connect to the Internet fine with it being saved? If so, I assume when you say it adds another password it's adding 16 characters to your password. Just log in normally ignoring the extra characters. It's a security feature to keep others from guessing your password

XP always displays 16 characters, no matter how long the password is.
The stored password should be right. Try it.
