Problem with copying to CD

I do not have the option 'Copy to CD" in the picture task box. I have gone to
the tools section and the bullet was already highlighted on the 'show common
tasks in folder'. I also tried to copy an entire folder to a cd and get an
error message. The message reads: D:\ is not accessible; incorrect function.
I have used a blank CD-R and a DVD+R and get the same message. I am able to
listen to music; recently installed an optical mouse and a printer so the D
drive seems to functioning. I just don't understand why I cannot copy
pictures to this drive. I'd sure be grateful for any suggestions.

Picture task box aside--
Can you copy files (mixed file types) to a CD?
There is a possibility that the CD drive is recognized as a read only drive.

Hi BJ...I am having the same problem. When I open My Pictures after inserting
the CD sometimes the Picture Task "Copy to CD" is available and sometimes it
is not. Have you received a response to your inquiry. I did not receive any
type of error message. The task just wasn't there.

BJ...this happened to me, too. Here is how I fixed it with the help of
wonderful people in here! Go to "my computer"...right click your CD drive.
Click on properites. Click on the recording tab and make sure the box
"enable" is checked. When I did this, the task then appeared and I was able
to burn pictures to the CD. Hope this helps :)
