Very frequently, I can send and receive email - but not connect to the
Internet with either Internet Explorer or Firefox. I uninstalled my
NIC protocols (except for Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and reinstalled
them. I was not given the options to remove Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) and thought that was strange. I changed channels on my router
- same problem. I tried a different NIC - same problem. Changed CAT
wires on my router - same problem. The really strange thing is that
my other PC (on the router) works fine.

1=>You may have winsock corrupt or damaged on your computer, try to repair
it by downloading this tool from here:
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html

2=>Also try to disable the BHO (Browser Helper Opject) by going to the IE
Properties and Click on Programs Tab, then click on [ Manage Add-Ons] Button
and there disable the non MS Add-Ons and Reboot your computer and see if that
will help.
If all goes well try to Enable the Add-Ons one -by-one and see which the
culprit and disable or Remove it.
Please Perform one step (1,2) at a time and Reboot your machine and se if it
resolved the issue.
Always be sure that your Computer is Malware free and clean.
Please write back with your result.
Regs,
