Problem With Connection Wizard

I recently upgraded from Windows98 to XP. I am trying to
set up my internet connection and am having the following
problem:

In my Network and Internet Connections / Phone and Modem
Options, my modem is properly listed and is shown as being
attached to COM3.

When I use the Internet Connection Wizard and check the
settings it creates (Settings/Properties/General tab) its
says "Connect using Modem - Unavailable device (COM1)"

I can't find where to change that setting and, since its
trying to use the wrong COM port, my ISP won't find the
modem because its looking for the wrong port.

How do I tell the Connection Wizard which port my modem is
on?

Thanks.

In your network connections

- right click your dial-up connection and delete it
- create a new connection
