Problem with clarity

I made a movie using pictures and when I try and watch it in full mode, the pictures are all blurry. Can some please help me? Thanks

The quality of movies is typically lower than the quality of still
images.... the project mode of MM2 is a 320x240 mode, but the saved movies
would typically be 640x480 for DVD quality....

So it might be your frame of reference or your desired output... you can
push the quality higher with custom profiles.. the first thing might be
getting a good feel for the quality levels in your source files, the project
environment, and in the saved movies.

When viewing a clip in the collection, it's a higher quality than when
previewing the timeline... when it's 320x240

I am having the same problem, I just got a new Digital
Video camera. I first used the software program that
came with the camera and the picture quality was great,
but I did not like the lack of a media player that
windows would recon. So I thought I would give Windows
Movie maker a try and it looks terrible, its all hazed
over and you can see anybodies faces. I hope this can be
fixed but it doesn't look like it. I am downloading
Movie make 2 maybe that will help.. Any info will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What brand and model camcorder are you using... and how are you getting the
video from it onto your computer? If it's not a firewire connection, the
quality will be much lower.

I'm having the same problem. I have a cannon ZR45 with minitapes. I transfered the video from the tape by plugging in my ieee cable and then saving them to my computer. I can then open them using windows media or MM2 so I can edit them.

I saved Papajohn's custome profiles from his site to see if the quality was any better in DV-AVI format, but just one clip was sooooo huge I couldn't even email it. I then thought I could just save the one clip in the same format to a CD and the custome profile for DV-AVI wasn't available as an option anymore. Am I missing something here or is the DV-AVI format more for higher-end video production? What format should I be saving these to - there are so many options

I simply want to take my video from tape to computer, to MM2 for editing, then to CD for sending to family/friends, but the clarity stinks......

Thanks!

If you have 1.5ghz or above machine, when recording try changing the record
settings, by clicking "show more choices" hyperlink and then selecting the
"other settings" radio button and finally selecting the "Video for local
playback (2.1 Mbps)" profile. This should be nearly as clear as DV-AVI --
at 1/10 the disk space of DV-AVI

Thank you for the response. I did just what you said and the clarity is still sooooo awful. I sent it to a few family members and they said they could hardly see anything clear - almost like they were "under water". Is there anything I can do? I've tried ALL the formats suggested and nothing is working. My camera type and history are listing in the above message. I'm ready to send the tapes off to a professional already......

Thank you!
