Problem with capture

I have a problem, when i record something from my camera, the video has good
sound, but the captured picture is not normal. Picture goes too fast and it
is choped. Acting like insane. i dont know how to explain my problem. Perhaps
someone can give me a little help to solve this problem.

Lots more info would help, here are some pointers.
How is the cam connected to pc, via firewire?
MM shows a preview of the movie so sometimes it can look poorer than normal.
You may have dropped frames during capture, defrag hdd, turn off all uneeded
apps, include internet/firewall/a-virus/screensaver/powersave etc etc.
What file type did you capture as?
Was the cam powered by the mains not basttery?
