Hello all,
I have a Canon BJC-4200 model printer whose output is nothing more than
solid messy blocks of ink where text and images are supposed to be
shown. I suspect it is the printhead on the BC-21e cartridge holder.
When I place a BC-22e photo print cartridge with its own integrated
printhead into the printer seems to work fine. However, a new BC-21e
dual cartridge holder is worth about $50.00 or more. This printer has
never been abused and just started exhibiting this behavior one day
while I was printing something out. No warning just one good printout
followed by this ink wasting mess. It has been the same ever since. The
Canon website has no information regarding this problem. I add that I
used some generic color and black inks from Office Depot. I wonder if it
might be the reason for the apparent printhead problem? Nevertheless,
any help to resolve this mystery would be appreciated.
