Problem with "C" drive being renamed & changed to an application file!

I downloaded dsl updated drivers & saved them under
my "C" drive. After unzipping them & installing the
drivers, my "C" hard drive name was changed to the
application set up file. Now when I click on the My
Computer icon, all other drives & devices are listed
properly except the "C" drive. If I click on the new "C"
drive icon & name, the dsl installation setup starts up.
The only way I can get into a list of files for my "C"
drive is to right click on START & go in under explore.
Neither the computer mfg nor the dsl provider can tell me
how to correct this. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!

I think *fingers crossed* this might occur if the autorun.inf file from your
installation CD was accidentally copied to the root of your drive. look for
c:\autorun.inf by removing that file your drive should be working again.

It sounds like either you unzipped the driver files to C:\ and there is an
autorun.inf
or
Installed the driver to C.\ and there is an Autorun.inf

If the first, delete autorun.inf, if the second, uninstall (if possible) the
drivers
