I have been making slideshows in windows movie maker for over a year and then
going into InterVideo WinDVD Creator to create a dvd. All of the sudden I
have been having problems. It goes thru all the motions of burning the DVD
in the WinDVD program but then the DVD does not play on a DVD player
connected to the TV. I am wondering if a setting got changed in the windows
movie maker while saving the project to the computer. I have tried several
different settings but nothing seems to work. Please help.

Details...please. The more info you
provide the better your chance is of
finding a fix.

What format is your movie saved in
before you import it into WinDVD?

Have you changed the type of DVD?

Did your home made DVDs previously
play on your free standing DVD player?
Do the old ones still play? Is it the same
DVD player?

I am using the DV-AVI (NTSC) setting to save the movie.
I am using the same kind of DVD's, (DVD+R) but I just opened a new package.
Yes the dvd's in the past played on a free standing dvd player and the old
ones still do and it is the same dvd player.

We installed a new Sony disc drive, but I was having this problem before we
did that. Let me know if you need more information.

That's good.

Same format DVD+R....but have
you changed brands? And FWIW...
I've had better results using DVD-R.
(and I don't know that changing formats
would improve the issue you are
experiencing)

This would indicate that something
has changed in the way you are creating
the DVDs. Different media? Possibly
a problem with your DVD burner?

==================
You apparently had a problem with
your DVD burner if you replaced it...
maybe the new one has a problem
also.

I realize this is not a solution but I'm
thinking your choice of media may be
at the heart of the problem. And it may
be worth a try to burn at a slower speed.

Good luck.
