hiya, my boyfriend has just upgraded his pc to XP and has found out that he can't open more than one window when he is on the net. When he was on the net using windows 98, he could open several at a time.

Can anyone help?

well, the way mine works, and I admitt I've never tried to change the way it works because it suits me fine, is...
each time I open a web page, or whatever I choose, from the browser search bar, all the others remain open, but the last one to open stays on top of the others, but, there is an indicator on the taskbar that shows a number and the words , Internet Explorer. For example, right now I have three things open, so mine looks like this;
e (that's supposed to be the littel blue 'e' for IE) 3 Internet Explorer. It also has a small black arrow, and when I click on the Icon, it will expand to show all the things I have running, and as I select one, the others take a back seat.
If you have more than one program running from within xp, say for example you are running a search for a file or folder, and you are running the msconfig utility, and then you go to a web site, the utilities, etc that you are running will minimize to that taskbar, but will remain open for access through those arrows while your web page takes a front seat.

Well. That is true. It happens if his task bar gets filled......... if he has 2 msn boxes open. The main one and a message. They go into 1 taskbar showing two items open but it still don’t do that on the internet
