problem with autocomplete--help!

I have all of the boxes checked for autocomplete
including the inline function, however, only the web
addresses work. Autocomplete does not work with web
forms and passwords. The password box will appear, but
after checking yes, the next time you log on, nothing
happens. Any suggestions or references will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
