Hi,
I tried to change my old 3fdx voodoo card for an ASUS A9200 SE, which is an
ATI 9200 card.
First, it proved nearly impossible uninstalling the 3dfx. I had to go
through Regedit but still wasn't able to remove everything and some cabinets
keep expanding every time when I start up, although the driver software was
removed from the system.
I want to use the ATI9200 with 2 screens: 1280x1024 on a normal screen and
800x600 through a beamer. The secundary monitor works fine, but the picture
on the primary screen is way out of bounds, i.e. I need to scroll the screen
by 100% in order to see the whole picture. Also, the picture is shifted.
When I try to reduce the resolution the width is OK but the height is about
50% of normal, so the picture is very distorted.
My impression is that some elements of the 3fdx having remained cause the
problem, but I can't get rid of the residuals.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Roel
