I have a copy of a shared Access 2003 database (.mdb) which I created and
have used since 2000 with group/user level security file (system.mdb). I
have recently since moved to another company and want to use the database at
this office.
Every time I try to open it, I get the error message "You do not have the
necessary permissions to use the ‘C:\NameOfDatabase.mdb object. Have your
system administrator or the person who created this object establish the
appropriate permissions for you."
I am a little more confused now that I have read a couple of these posts
that refer to a "System.mdw" file. I believe mine has always been
"System.mdb".
How can I open this database?
I would really appreciate assistance since I spent ~ 10 years refining this
database and would love to be able to use it again.
