I am trying to install a modem in Windows 2000. Doing an
ADD modem. On the screen for selecting the ports (COM
Ports), in the option for "on which port do you want to
install it?" radio button for "all ports" and "selected
ports" shows up BUT no port Like COM1 is displayed. The
NEXT bottom below is also protected. Not able to proceed
further. Appreciate if any body vcan help.

Thanks in advance for all help

You generally do not do an Add Modem to install a modem because they are
plug & play. You would instead plug in modem, boot the computer and
Windows would detect the modem and prompt for drivers if necessary. Do
you know that the modem is compatible with Windows 2000?
