Hi everybody,

I am facing a big problem with AD.
I have Windows 2000 server with MS ISA 2000 installed. I
have an AD with 400 users. I tried to bring a new server
and install it as an aditional domain controller under the
existing one by using DCPromo and choosing additional DC.
After I give the domain, user name and password for the
Proxy server. It started replicating then stoped for some
errors.
Now, when I try to open the active directory in the
original server (running ISA 2000) I am getting the
following message:
Naming information cannot be located because: the target
principal name is incorrect.
And i am unable to see or manage any user in the AD.
However, all the users are able to access normally.

Please help.
Thanks alot to all of u
Sally

Sally,

It is never a good idea to have ISA server and DC on the same machine,
especially in larger environments (you have 400 users). Try to locate your
dcpromo log and see what was the error you got. The log is located in
%systemroot%\system32\debug\dcpromo.log. As your first DC is multihommed
check, that your internal NIC is the first on your binding order in network
settings.
Try removing AD from second DC using dcpromo and repeat the procedure for
creating a DC
