Hi,

I am getting a really strange problem when trying to open a site with
FP 2003. I go in it and select "Open Site", I select our intranet
site and click "Open". FP then starts to think and enters in a kind
of infinite loop where it is trying to open but it nevers happens.
There is not error message, however FP is thinking forewer and I can
see the "STOP" icon blinking and at the bottom left a message laso
blinking saying: opening web site http://... (the adress of my site).

The even stranger problem in this is that it was working perfectly
fine with FP 2000. My compagny just upgraded to FP 2003 and now it
doesn't work.

Any idea? I already went through most MS KB and other sites without
success.

Please help,
Thanks,
Christian

Go here:http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htmand download FP Cleaner ( with Expression Web Designer and
SharePoint Designer support )
Download links are at the bottom of the page.
Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.

See if it helps.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that without success. The cleaner
deleted some files but I am still getting the sme problem.

I find this really strange, my network place works fine, I can access
it, browse through it but as soon as I try to open it in FP, FP loops
forever.

Any other idea?

Thanks!

Open the site in your browser, then in the browser click File > Edit with FrontPage
and see what happens.
