Hi.
I am trying to install a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback pro (with gameport) on my laptop through a gameport->USB converter, but windows xp won't recognize it. I know xp should find and install the drivers automatically, but nothing happens when I plug the usb converter into the pc (for the record, the "add Game Controller" in control panel gives me the "Missing gameport or gameport drivers" message telling me to check the device manager).
The Force Feedback worked perfectly fine on my other pc through the gameport. And the converter seems to give the SW power (the green light on the SW turns on). Is there any way I can make it work? (it's a "Microsoft sidewinder" converter, I think it came with a Freestyle pro gamepad from MS)
Thanks in advance
