problem w/saving & uploading

Every time I try to either save a picture from on the
Internet, right click save picture as or try to upload a
picture using whatever browse feature to do it with, the
application I am in closes (Internet Explorer).

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and what can be
done to fix it?
