Problem viewing web site in different and same browsers

Hopefully this won't be a duplicate message. When I sent it before I had a
problem. Anyhow, I developed a website for a local church, this is my first
attempt. It looked ok with my browser, IE6 with sp2. Others have no problem
viewing the web pages, but some other IE6 users have shown me that the web
pages are not aligned properly. Other people with other browsers are also
experiencing a similar problem. Some of them see the web pages aligned
properly and some using the same browser see the web pages misaligned. I
don't even know where to begin fixing this problem. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

This question is asked about 10 times a day.

I presume you're using tables to do you layout? If not, it is best to do
so, that way you can control the layout relatively easily and get more what
you want to display correctly in a wider range of browsers and systems.

Remember the range of systems, browsers and screen resolutions being used on
the web are not going to present your site in the same way as you see it at
home on your own PC

Word and vector art is not compatible with other browsers. If you want the
page to look the same in them, you must eliminate those usages from your
page.

In addition to the input provided by the other folks, I
would suggest you browse through this newsgroup for this
topic. It is a MUCH asked question that many folks have
provided input on.
