I am trying to create documents and then use the SAVE AS
feature to save them to the CDRW. It used to work great;
however, now I receive an error and it will not save it as
the origingal file.. It will save it as a temporary file.

I can copy and drag to the disk without problem.

Any ideas why the SAVE AS function will not work anymore?

I am using WINDOWS XP.

Being able to treat a CDRW as a giant floppy is a feature of "packet
writing" software. The XP CD burning feature does not support packet
writing. You'll need 3rd party burning software to save files "on the fly."

Hi JDL,

As Sharon said, you need to install a packet-writing software like DirectCD
from www.roxio.com or InCD from Nero (free download from www.ahead.de). Once
installed, you should be able to save files to CDs from your favorite
application.
