problem - urgent

I try to run an access 97 program but it gives an error:

"Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

I click for more information as following:

"Error signature

AppName: msaccess.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.3512 ModName: msjet35.dll
ModVer: 3.51.2723.0 Offset: 00001beb

The most current version of msjet35.dll is 3.51.3328.0, which can be found
at the link below. Install the SP3 update and see if that solves the
problem.

Also, SR-2 for Office 97 needs to be installed. This will change the version
number of msaccess.exe to 8.0.0.5903.

Well, that was the first thing to check. Are you unable to open the database
at all or does it fail when you do something specific. Have you compacted
and repaired the database lately? Also, please see the following link on
corruption.

When I double click the icon or open the mdb, it gives me this error. I
cannot run compact or repair at all. Please help.

Can you open Access with another database? Can you open Access by itself (no
database)? Try holding down the Shift key as the database opens to bypass
any startup items you may have set.

Make a copy of the file!!!! Then try the Jet Compact utility. It should have
been installed on your hard drive when you installed Jet 3.5 SP3. The name
of the file is jetcomp.exe. Do a Search of the hard drive to find the file.
If you can't find it, it can also be downloaded at the link below. It will
run a compact of the database without having to open it first.
