Hello. I have a problem on my home network that will not allow computers with
Vista on them upload photos to websites. When I go to flickr.com,
photobucket.com or myspace.com and try to upload photos the browser hangs at
6% completion. I have tried using IE7, Firefox and Opera and all do the same
thing. I have other computers on my network that use XP and the problem is
not there. Its really frustrating.

Laptop I'm using is Toshiba X205-S7483
Vista Home Premium
Wireless Router is a WNR854T

Attention Vista Users!!! FTM Workaround for Downloads
Description: Vista’s enhanced security prevents user from downloading files
to pre-created, system owned folders on your hard drive using FTM.
An error message displays “Unable to open file on client.â€

Resolution:
1. Create a download folder on your hard drive.
2. Launch FTM.
3. Click Options.
4. Select the General tab.
5. In the section that says “Files received will be placed in this
folderâ€, click Browse and select the download folder that you created in
step #1.
6. Click OK.

Thank you for the suggestion alexB. I tried the File Transfer Manager but it
did not work. Can any one else help solve this for once and for all! It
cripples this otherwise great machine!

I'm having exactly the same problem and it's driving me mad. Where I used to
be able to upload twenty files in one hit, I now have to select and upload
each one individually. Meanwhile, Microsoft sits there humming to itself.
These are such BASIC cock-ups.
