I have a Canon Powershot camera. I am trying to transfer a 500mb+ video file
onto my computer from it, but it fails every time. If I use the Camera and
Scanner Wizard, it gives me a vague error about there not being enough disk
space (not true). If I try to open the removable disk drive in My Computer
and copy it directly, it opens to the copy dialog box but does not move from
0%. Eventually it halts without an error message, leaving a 0 byte file with
the name of the file that was supposed to copy. Any suggestions?

You would probably have better luck with a
USB memory card reader.

Try deleting your temporary internet files
and see if it makes any difference:

Also adding more RAM and / or increasing
the size of your virtual memory paging file
may help:
