Welcome every1 :)

Can you tell me what's happened - Shutdown button from Task Manager
has just disappeared (only these option I got => FILE, OPTION, VIEW,
WINDOWS, HELP. It's not about welcome screen and it's not about
clicking the very top of the task managers box. I'm confused and I
don't know what to do to solve this problem.
Operating system is of course Windows XP sp2 - if you know something
let me know.

You forgot to add microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain to your
crosspost.

Task Manager Shut Down disabled

On the Task Manager Menu Bar, there are: File, Options, View, Shut Down and
Help.

The Shut Down menu contains:
* Stand By
* Hibernate
* Turn Off
* Restart
* Log Off (User Name)
* Switch User

Some of the above items may be unavailable (grayed out) depending on Group
Policies, et cetera.

For example.

NoClose removes access to Stand By, Hibernate, Turn Off, Restart and Log
Off (User Name) from the Shut Down menu in Task Manager, but leaves the
menu.

not configure it, the Shut Down menu option appears, and the Shut Down

<quote>
If using Classic Logon the Task Manager will not show the Shut Down menu.

To verify what type of Logon you are using, go to the Control Panel | User
Accounts | Change the way users log on or off. If the Welcome Screen is not
checked then you are using the Classic Logon, there for no Shut down menu
will not be present for the Task Manager.

I have no idea if any of the above changes if on a domain.

Turn the Welcome screen on...
1. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
2. Click Change the way users log on or off.
3. Click the Use the Welcome screen to place a check mark in the check box.
4. Click OK.
