problem starting windows

i installed the internet and had this cdrom containing the installation kit
..i stopped the process before it was through since it was taking so long i
have not been able to re start windows since .It has become s slow taking
like ten minutes before i get the sign in icon .hat could b the problem?

I don't know what you mean by "I installed the internet". One does not
install the internet.
