Hi. This has happened to me more times than not, and I just can't figure out what it is. I usually leave my computer running non-stop. Although sometimes I do have to restart my computer. Everytime I put XP on my computer this happens after a while
I will go to restart my computer, and then after the Windows XP startup screen logo showing that windows is loading is complete, my screen goes blank and just sits there. Nothing happens, no hard drive activity, nothing. If I let is sit long enough, it will restart itself and do the same thing over.(that has happened in the past but not now) Anyways. I have run virus scans, spyware scans with spybot and adaware, none of those have taken care of it. Like I said, this happens EVERYTIME I install XP pro on my system. After a while of it being installed, it will do this
On the side note
I did install Windows XP SP1 on my system 2 days ago, but I made sure my system restarted after installing it. I have also (before) tried uninstalling SP1, rebooting, reinstalling it, the whole nine yards, and nothing has worked. My system did work after installing SP1, so I dont think that is the issue
I would really appreciate any advice from anyone. I am runniing in safe mode with networking right now. It is a very frustrating problem that I run into all of the time. Thanks
