problem signing out of here

anyone else having any problems signing out of here? i click on the "sign
out" button, and it flashes another screen that says please wait while we
sign you out of www.microsoft.com, but then it just returns me to the topics
page and i am still signed in.
 
to answer my own question.....it wouldn't sign me out until i closed my msn
browser. when i signed back onto msn, then i was signed out of
here.......sure glad that "sign out" button is there.

Why on earth are you using a browser to access newsgroups? Why don't you
use a newsreader...much simpler to use and makes it easy to follow threads
and find your own posts. You already have Outlook Express on your
computer...use it.

......because this works just fine for me. i have never used, and don't
really want to use, outlook express.
 
Hi Jim,

I tried Mozilla before and the one problem I had with it was that when I
only wanted one thread opened(expanded), all the others would expand as well
and it became quite annoying. Do you know if there was an update for this?
Also, is there a way to watch and flag the threads like you can in OE?

I'm no computer guru, so I don't understand your question or if there is
an update. I usually have my ngs set to show "Unread" only. When/if I
see a post that's a reply to an earlier post (Re:), and I'm interested,
I change to "All" and that particular thread shows up expanded, while
all other multi part threads are still shown contracted (+). Works well
for me.
