I need to set up remote assistance with a technician and he has asked me
to use Windows Messenger to do so. However, whenever I try to use the
Wizard to set up a .Net passport it says it cannot connect to the net
and the next button greys out. I have to click to back button and the
same happens again.
However, I do then get the box with my email address and I only need to
type in my password and tick the box for automatically connecting.
Having done this, up comes the box telling me again that it cannot
connect to the net and asking me to try again. I cannot get beyond this
point so what is wrong please.

Apologies for following up my own posting but I really am stuck and need
MSN Messenger in order to allow a technician to have remote access to my
PC to fix a problem. Can I appeal to someone out there to help me by
answering my query. I have looked up MS help web site and even
downloaded some kind of fix to no avail.

Can someone respond please and help me check out Messenger.
