Macchianera

Hi,
i can't sent any web page from internet explorer using outlook express.
I tried to deinstall and reinstall both IE and OE but when i look in
internet opt/program/mail client the box is blank.
If i set OE for the default email client, when i close OE and re-enter in
the option windows the setting is "blank" again.
Anyway i can't set OE for default email client but it works well. IE works
well also.
There is any registry key to change/verify or other way that at the moment i
forget?
Many many thanks!!!

Macchianera;

Making Internet Explorer the default web browser

If you install another browser after IE, you may find that it is no
longer your default browser. To put it back again, run IE and go to
the Tools, Internet Options box and look at the Programs tab. Check
the very last box, "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it
is the default". Press Ok, and when you next run IE, a confirmation
dialog box should appear asking you whether you want it to be the
default browser again. Click Yes.

Making Outlook Express the default e-mail client

In IE, if Outlook Express isn't currently configured to be your
default e-mail program when you click on an e-mail address link etc.
Open OE, go to the Tools menu and select Options/General tab. At
the bottom of the dialog box, press the Make Default button and press
OK.

[[OE Why can't I set OE as the default email client?
Why can't I Reply to Author in newsgroups?
Why do I see a Choose Profile window when I Reply to Author in newsgroups?

All of these problems indicate that OE is not properly configured as the
default email client on your computer. To be sure OE is the default mail
client, close OE, click Start| Run and enter this command line, complete
with quotes, spaces and the /reg switch:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg

Of course change the path if you installed OE elsewhere.

Now click Start| Settings| Control Panel, double-click Internet Options,
then click on the Programs tab, and verify that OE is now the default email
client. (You can also get there from the IE Tools| Internet Options menu).
Then open OE and click Tools| Options, and at the bottom of the General tab,
verify that OE is set as the default. If it is, the "Make Default" button
will be grayed out. If not, click the button.]]
