Problem selecting queries fields for a report

Using the report wizard, when I attempt to add the fields
from queries, Access generates the error message listed
below. It will only allow me to add 1 field from 1
query.????


"You have chosen fields from record sources which the
wizard cannot connect. you may have chosen fields from a
table and from a query based on that table. if so, try
choosing fields from only the table or only the query."
 
The error message indicates that you are trying to include
a table field and a query field where the query is based
on the same table you already included. This appears to
be the problem. You could include the desired filed in
the query and use only the query as the data source, or
use only the table.
I do not quite understand why you would need to use a
table and also a query based on the same table in one
report?
