Have been working on this for a while. Followed all kinds of advice given and
look at all kinds of postings. Still cannot get it to work. One response said
project may be corrupt and to make sure that there are no transitions the
full length of the clip. What exactly does that mean.

More info needed please.
What are the specs of your computer?
How long is the project?
Are there quite a few transitions in the project?
What types of files (file extensions)are you using?
Is your hard drive formatted NTFS or FAT32?
Finally, what exactly is happening when you try to save a movie?

It means that if you have a video clip that is x seconds long and a
transition of x seconds in duration applied/associated with that clip, Movie
Maker 2 may puke on its self when trying to save the movie.

Did the Save Movie Wizard give an error such as this?

"Cannot Complete the Save Movie Wizard"
"Your movie was not saved successfully."

"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location.
Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still
available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is
enough free disk space available, and then try again."

Yuck, then you have to go to your local computer store and get some towels
and PCCillin!

mega transitions ....... by the sounds of other peoples complaints I am just
asking more then the program can do .......... I have some movies that saved
as movie just fine and they are all similar effects ....... puzzled and
frustrated I am ......

We'll I've never been able to reproduce the transition issue with photos
(not that I tried all that hard to do so), so that would probably be a long
shot in this case. From your description of the project, sounds like you
should try splitting the project in to multiple smaller projects and then
finally combine those movies in a new project.
