Problem receiving email

I just installed new McAfee Virus scan, it removed WebHancer (Adware) from my computer. Now my Outlook won't receive email. Gives me the following error: "messages couldn't be retrieved from server; a timeout occurred whole communicating with server." (I can still get my email directly through Comcast, not through Outlook.

Not sure if the McAfee program caused this or if deleting WebHancer did this. I'd appreciate any help.
 
What version of Outlook do you have? Try disabling McAfee's email scanning
and see if that helps.
