Problem Please Help I have NO SOUND!

I keep getting an error message telling me that there is
no ausio drivers or the hardware is not responding
properly! I went to my bios and the sound blaster is
enabled BUT when i got the the control panel it tells
me NO AUDIO DEVICE???? I hear no sound other than the
occasional beep. I anyone can help it would be GREATLY
appreciated!

Well, install or reinstall the sound-card driver. The setting in the
BIOS has almost nothing to do with the absence or presence of sound
under Windows. To use a sound-card under Windows, a Windows-compatible
software driver for the card must be installed under Windows.

Also, perhaps you have the WRONG driver installed. Install a Windows
XP-compatible driver for the card.

Run the audio troubleshooter in windows. I had that

happen just because explorer could not read the usb drive
where my music is kept.
