HI, I AM IN A NATIVE WIN2K ENVIRONMENT AND I HAVE A
MACHINE WITH IP X.X.X.63. THIS MACHINE CAN NOT PING A
MACHINE WITH IP X.X.X.125. I HAVE RUN DIFFERENT TESTS AND
CHANGE NICS BUT TO NO AVAIL. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I NEED HELP.

I wouldn't normally even bother, as I can barely read the ALL CAPS POST
(annoying as hell, thank you), but it's not Monday anymore, so...

Do you have multiple subnets? Can other systems in the lower range ping
systems in the higher range? Are you in a VLAN environment? A WAN?

Please include the subnet mask and default gateway
addresses as well and I may be able to help. You really
need to include the entire address as well.

It may be a situation where your clients are actually on
different "subnets" If your router is not configured
correctly and if your "default gateway address" is
incorrect then you will not be able to ping the other
addresses.

you can also do a "tracert" to the destination address and
see where the packets are getting dropped/lost.
