Problem Pasting in Word 2002

We have a problem copying an article and then trying to paste it into MS Word
2002.

This problem started last night. We tried to reboot the computer and try
again but that didn’t work.

After the computer was shut down over night, we tried to copy & paste a
different article this morning and again it didn’t work.

We get and hour glass for our mouse pointer and then nothing happens. If we
try to close the Word document, we get a message that the program is not
responding, and then it closes.

Any suggestions for a solution of this problem will be appreciated.

Have you tried a system restore to 2 days ago ?

No, I didn't try a system restore. I never could get my system restore to
restore a point for me.

Google for the ERUNT system restore , I`m using that and turned my xp
system restore off .
